December

Our Christmas tree. It looked very pretty with the lights, and you really couldn't tell that it only had half the ornaments and of course they were mostly at the top. We put 'safe' ornaments at the bottom, without hooks, and John dedecorated every day! We would find ornaments in the kitchen, under the sofa, in his bedroom. He had a great time with the tree!

And the stockings were hung by the chimney with care...right before mommy had to go out the door to work!

Grandma and Grandpa B gave our family a Zoo Pass for christmas. We had to get out and use it for Zoolight Safari, and Grandma was visiting so she got to come along too! I think we'll be spending lots of time at the zoo.
Grandma made John this fun christmas shirt!
Thanks cousin Dawn for the hat and gloves! I never thought when I got them this summer that John would be wearing them this winter! The gloves are a little big but they did the trick!

John and Grandpa

Mommy and John at Grandma and Grandpa's christmas party. John had a great time greeting all the visitors, clapping and cheering whenever anyone new came in the door. He wandered among the guests and every once in awhile would touch base with grandma, grandpa or mommy, but otherwise wasn't afraid of all the strangers. We might have a little politician on our hands!

Santa from Zoolight safari. This was John's 3rd visit with Santa this year. He wasn't afraid of any of them!
Mommy's friend from work Kristen made us this cool reindeer shirt! John especially enjoyed chewing on the google eyes!

This Christmas season has kept us super busy! John is a JOY! He has enjoyed the lights, activities, visits, shopping, present opening, everything with GUSTO! I think this is the best Christmas I have ever had and I have totally enjoyed seeing it through my son's eyes! I will have to post a second round of December pictures because I forgot my camera when we went to the inlaws for christmas and I have yet to get pictures from them. John is talking all of the time, but we don't really speak his language. When he hands you something he says something that sounds like 'hereyago' but not really sure. He is loving music and singing and dancing. He is still sleeping very well and eating up a storm. He has been sick with colds this month, and really really really does not like the bulb syringe. He has 7 teeth and some major molar bumps that just have not broken through. John has started to show us his displeasure at having things taken away, or not getting his way. Yes he can throw a fit if he has a mind to. He is usually side tracked easily and doesn't hold a grudge for long. We have had to introduce a new baby sitter as our Rebecca is working on projects for School that gets her up to early in the morning to keep John until 1130 at night when Daddy gets home. John has done really well with Kelli, along with the caregivers in the church nursery and MOPS. He is starting to fuss when we drop him off in the nursery, but when we check back he's off playing with some toy or other child within a few minutes. He's a very funny, smart, happy little guy and we are so blessed this year. I can't wait to see what 2011 holds for us!
More pictures to come!
