August 2010

Wow has our August been Busy! We had a fun trip down to South MS to visit Grandma and Grandpa, and then Daddy started Grad School and Mom and Grandma and I flew to Minnesota for a long weekend of visiting with all kinds of great relatives!
John is still crawling all over, pulling up on everything and scooting around on furniture...any day now we expect him to take off walking.

This is how I found Scot and John one morning when I came home from work. Of course Baby Jail is more fun with a friend!
Wow, even Grandma and Grandpa have cool toys to play with!
Having a cheese snack with Grandpa after a hard day at Ship Island
Relaxing in grandpa and grandma's pool!
Good Buddy Jonah came to visit and play. We had a great time!

Boat ride to Ship Island MS where Grandpa works.

Grandma is one of my best buddies!
This time I loved the ocean, just not a fan of SAND!

Grandpa sure works at a cool job! We had so much fun!
A long day in the heat, and a snuggly grandpa to rest on!
Who needs a whole pack n play when the corner works just fine!
We went to lunch with several coworkers. It was a great time with lots of Kiddos!

Hmmm, What can I get into now????
Naps on planes aren't too bad!
This buggy was a lifesaver in the Minnapolis Airport!

Cousin Kristi's sparkly shirt was a real icebreaker!
Great Aunt Lois is almost the same height as Tayler and Nick!
Shopping at the Mall of America is EXHAUSTING!
GO VIKINGS! Maybe John will play for them one day?!
Tayler, Aunt Jane, and Cousin Dawn! Cousin Dawn was a lifesaver. Really makes traveling with a baby easy when they have a pack and play, exersaucer, stroller, and high chair at your destination! Thanks again Dawn!
Nathan, Tayler, Nick and Megan watching the alligator at rainforrest cafe'.
John is really getting the hang of these push around toys!

I can't believe we only have a few more weeks and our sweet little guy will be 1 year old! This time last year he was swimming around in my belly and starting to give me a few blood pressure issues. You can never explain to anyone how much a baby changes your life, but it is absolutely worth every minute! John now has 5 teeth with a 6th one on the way. He is saying DaDa, ByeBye, MaMa and BaBa, along with lots of other gibberish that we don't quite understand. We know he understands what the word NO means and he does hear it quite often. He likes to crawl all over and CLIMB. While on Vacation in Minnesota several times he climbed up flights of stairs on his own, with me right on his heels of course. At the Mall of America he did NOT like watching people on the amusement park rides, and he wasn't very happy when cousin Kyle did some really high flips on the trampoline...maybe he won't be an extreme sport kid after all????
We are still blessed in that John sleeps all night most nights, teething has inturruped that a tad. He is still an amazing eater. In a couple weeks we will be going to the doc for our new updates, but he is over 21 lbs according to the bathroom scale! We love him more and more every day!
